Our leadership spent 10+ years building a market-leading digital agency that was acquired by Interpublic Group (listed NYSE). A major shift had taken place over this time. Top talent worked remotely, big briefs were digital first and the pace was faster than ever before. It was time for a new way of working.

Fierce is committed to playing a role in inspiring South Africa’s disadvantaged youth to become the leaders of tomorrow. As volunteers at the non profit organisation Project Playground we focus on building self belief, personal growth and skills development.

A bit about our founder, David Moffatt.

Prior to founding Fierce, David led Hellocomputer, a full-service digital agency, based in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

Hellocomputer consistently ranked amongst South Africa’s top digital agencies in both creative and performance-oriented awards including The Loeries and The Bookmarks. Under David’s leadership, Hellocomputer was recognised by Tony Koenderman’s AdReview as ‘Digital & Integrated Agency of the Year’ and Financial Mail’s AdFocus Award as ‘Digital Agency of the Year’ in 2014 and 2016. Hellocomputer was acquired by IPG in 2012 and now forms part of the FCB group of companies.

In 2020, David founded Fierce, which offers decentralised marketing services and digital-first creative production on a project basis.
